Oryza Corporation is an
Internet based e-market system focused on automating the vertical supply chain
for the global rice industry. We are creating rice market liquidity by matching
existing supply with existing demand requirements in real time. We provide a
single, integrated, web-based platform enabling efficient commerce activities,
information exchange, and collaboration.
Oryza provides services to facilitate trade including credit verification, cross
border financial settlements, trade financing, freight and logistics,
documentation, inventory management, payment guarantee, inspection, insurance
and shipment tracking. Some of the services we provide are available to all
industry participants at no charge, such as the news and catalog services. The
auction and exchange components, however, are available only to the members. The
exchange will establish a true spot market for rice by facilitating real-time
bid/ask transactions between market participants locally and globally. Once
joined, members will select trading partners form the member list. All trading
is completely anonymous.
Oryza has an alliance of key industry participants from the leading rice markets
worldwide. A board of advisors comprised of key industry leaders was formed.
These key industry members make up the committee who are responsible for writing
the rules for the exchange and contracts.
The Internet is rapidly shrinking the time and space in which business takes
place. As a result of stronger competition, organizations are facing tougher
customer expectations, pricing and time pressures. The winners in this
hyper-competitive environment will be those companies that can effectively use
