Yu Tanaka

Visiting Professor, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Yu Tanaka completed his  B.Sc from Kyoto University in 2006  and went on to do M.Sc. from Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University in 2008. In  2011, he earned his Ph.D. from Kyoto University. His thesis topic was 'Genetic diversity of stomatal morphology and transpiration rate among soybean cultivars'.

His professional journey began in 2011-2012  as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Plant Molecular Cell Biology, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University. In 2012, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University. He is currently visiting professor for photosynthesis and atmospheric change at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
